Low sex hormone binding globulin – strong association with metabolic syndrome in patients with acute coronary syndrome

Objective: Despite of conflicting data, reduced levels of endogenous sex hormones and especially sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) seem to be associated with metabolic syndrome (MS).
